Of all the toys I’ve bought for Josh, my son, the EyeClops Night Vision is one of the top toys he plays with most often. I guess he really feels like a spy when he is wearing them. An EyeClops Night Vision review I read stated that, wearing these goggles, you could see up to 50 feet, even if you were in complete and total darkness. It has to do with the infra-red technology; the same methods they use to make professional night vision goggles. That’s pretty amazing that they can produce so close to the same thing in a toy for kids to use.
EyeClops Night Vision uses 5 “AA” batteries and yet is still lightweight enough to be worn comfortably on your head. Josh says it feels comfortable and he doesn’t act like the weight or the straps are bothering him. Not that he’d notice, anyway, because he’s having so much fun looking for new nighttime finds with his EyeClops Night Vision. The images, he says, are clear and he can see shapes and objects pretty well. We have a small stream behind our home and he loves going down there at night (it’s not big enough to fall in, just a babbling little brook-type stream mostly), and look for anything new that is floating in the water.
EyeClops Night Vision has been known to net Josh some pretty cool rocks in the nighttime. Those same rocks didn’t look nearly as cool in the daytime, but in the nighttime, they become his captured treasure.
Josh has been known to climb into the attic, even in the daytime (there’s not a lot of light up there) and see what he can find with his EyeClops Night Vision goggles. The insects he comes up with I don’t really want to know about.
